Ledger Restaurant in historic Salem, MA is a progressive New England concept with a focus on wood fire cooking led by James Beard Nominated Chef, Daniel Gursha. Ledger hires candidates based on attitude as well as a desire to gain the necessary experience required to take the next step in your career. We are a hands-on scratch kitchen and are looking for motivated individuals that want to grow and advance within our growing company. Some experience is preferred, but we are willing to train those that want to put in the commitment to learn the trade. Back of house team members will have access to butchery, charcuterie, wood fire cooking, local produce, pasta making, etc.
The typical work week for Line Cooks is five days/nights for dinner shifts and brunch is currently offered on Sunday mornings. Cooks can expect to work five days and overtime kicks in at time and a half after 40 hours. Line cooks average 45-55 hours per work week, and we try to accommodate time off requests as much as possible. Prep Cooks generally work 40-55 hours per week and work in the mornings and afternoons.
