Lakon Paris Patisserie – Baker/Pastry Assistant

Lakon Paris Patisserie Brookline is looking for a baker/pastry assistant to join their team.

Candidate must possess:

  • Minimum 1- 2 years of experience working with laminated doughs including: croissants and all other types of viennoiserie.
  • Have diverse experience including viennoiserie, baking cakes, buttercream, piping skills and particularly be able to make in house scratch production such as tarts, pastry creams, cookies, muffins, scones, pate a choux, entremets, macarons, madeleines and more.
  • Work well and efficiently under a restricted time period.
  • Have the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Must have a positive and professional attitude and be an outstanding team player.
  • Mindset to work safely around baking equipment and know how to operate correctly and efficiently including ovens,dough sheeter, bread proofer, mixers, food processors, blenders and more.
  • Capable of standing for long periods of time.
  • Be organized, tidy, and work cleanly.
  • Punctuality, cleanliness, attention to detail, and excellent time management are required.
  • Possess great communication skills and eagerness to learn.
  • Flexibility to work a variable schedule with early mornings (earliest beginning at 5:00am), weekends and holidays.


  • Daily pastry preparation.
  • Daily baking of pastry products.
  • Assemble, and portion items.
  • Lamination work.
  • Weighing, scaling and mixing ingredients.
  • Check the quality of the baked items.
  • Follow recipes with both verbal and written instructions.
  • Track supplies and ingredients needed for daily orders.
  • Clean and prepare all baking materials for specific jobs.
  • Follow health and sanitation guidelines.


  • $18-20 hourly depending on experience

  • Weekly BOH tip pay
