
Michelin Starred Chef John Fraser is opening his newest restaurants in The Winthrop Center Tower in Downtown Crossing.
We are looking for professional experienced line cooks to prepare and execute food to our chef’s expectation’s. Line cook duties will consist of assisting the chef’s with their daily tasks. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our guests experience and business goals.
Position Overview: Prepare and coordinate the production of all food items in order to maintain high standards of quality.
Responsibilities
- Check and control proper storage of all food items in refrigerators and freezers to maintain product freshness
- Properly rotate food products in order to keep spoilage and waste to a minimum
- Set up and stocking stations with all necessary mise en place
- Help prep food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat)
- Execute menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Answer, report, and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
Skills
- Proven culinary experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook.
- Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
- Familiar with industry’s best practices
