Island Creek Oyster Bar is seeking a Sous Chef. Located in Kenmore Square, Island Creek Oyster Bar is led by Chef Jeremy Sewall and Skip Bennett of Island Creek Oysters. A hybrid of New England shore food and creative, seasonally influenced seafood, their menu reflects their sensibility, printed just before service to ensure that they’re presenting the freshest ingredients possible. Under Executive Chef Jeremy Sewall, this individual will join a professional team committed to excellence and consistency within a high volume atmosphere.
The right candidate will be a leader and teacher, with strong organizational skills. The right candidate will influence both meat and fish preparation, classic sauces & stocks and an outstanding raw bar program. Previous Sous Chef experience is appreciated but not necessary if the candidate is the right fit.
