Hojoko Japanese Tavern is hiring barbacks/aspiring bartenders and/or culinary professionals looking to transition to front of house for a full time Bar Prep role.
Culinary and/or bar experience in a high volume setting is preferred, but not required. Candidates must be passionate about cocktail culture and food. They are looking for humble, ego-free individuals with a genuinely positive attitude and demeanor who are dependable, detail oriented, focused and hospitality-driven.
The Cushman Concepts team prides themselves on the unique culture that has developed over years of hard work and commitment. They have a high level of respect for each other as well as their guests that join them every night. They are looking for someone to complement the team.
This is a physically active position. Candidates must be able to lift 40 lbs and stand for 8+hrs with minimal breaks.
Areas of responsibility for the bar prep position include: production of house made ingredients (strips, shrubs, infusions etc) according to provided recipes, setting up the bar for service, and daily cleaning tasks.
Compensation is hourly (varies based on experience) plus a portion of the day’s tips.
