Hi-Rise Bread Co., a family-owned and operated bakery/cafe/grocery, is looking for a kitchen manager.
The manager will work with Hi-Rise founder Rene Becker to create new meals-to-go and will be responsible for the faithful execution of existing dinner menu dishes. Hi-Rise has been turning out some of the Boston area’s best breads, sandwiches, soups, and dinners since 1996. Virtually everything is made from scratch, and basic ingredients are carefully sourced. They pick produce daily from vendors at the New England Produce Center as well as from local and regional farms. They work closely with Highlawn Farms in Lee Mass., and all their pork and beef comes from Maine Family Farms. Organic ingredients are preferred, but quality is always the driving force in choosing any fruit or vegetable. The style of Hi-rise foods is not limited to any particular cuisine. The goal is always to offer simple foods prepared extremely well.
The manager would be working with a small staff dedicated to quality, as well as to Hi-Rise. Basic knowledge of Spanish is highly desirable. This manager would work, generally, Monday through Friday and from 10:00am to 6:00pm. Pay will depend on experience.
