Gustazo Cuban Kitchen and Bar in Porter Square, Cambridge is currently hiring for the following positions:

Full-time LINE COOK (Hourly rate based on experience) Hours: Tuesday to Sunday 4pm to close.

Full-time SOUS CHEF (Salary based – 50K+)
Hours: Tuesday to Sunday 1pm to close.

Chef support in all aspects of running and managing the kitchen. Ordering, scheduling, inventory, food cost, daily specials, daily pre-service, oversee of all stations, food handling and storage supervision, labeling, etc… .


  • 5+ years of experience
  • Ability to maintain composure in a high volume kitchen
  • Experience working in a scratch kitchen
  • Ability to oversee a team of 10+ staff
  • Ability to create daily chef features
  • Flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends & holidays
  • Efficient management of setup services and clean up
  • Ensure proper storage of kitchen equipment and handling of food to meet health department requirements
  • Schedule food production
  • Ability to speak, read, and understand Spanish a plus but not required.


  • 3+ years of experience
  • Flexible schedule able to work weekends.
  • Must be organized, clean, positive, punctual
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Must have knowledge of food safety and proper food handling
  • Able to handle the speed of a busy kitchen
  • State required food handling certification
