Groundswell Cafe + Bakery – Executive Chef/Pastry Chef

Groundswell Cafe + Bakery is looking for an experienced Executive Chef/Pastry Chef for its European-inspired cafe in Tiverton, RI. The executive chef will manage the BOH team to provide the best quality product and superior customer service.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience as chef/pastry chef
  • Experience with bread Candidates should have experience creating menus, costing ingredients, bread baking, croissants and other pastries
  • Ensure that all items are consistently prepared – develop and implement standardized recipes, portioning, cooking, cost and serving standards
  • Must be punctual with strong attention to detail
  • Must be able to train and mentor staff
  • Experience planning menus and ordering all food and supplies
  • Knowledge of food handling, preparation, service, and operation of all kitchen equipment
  • Focus on quality and customer service
