Fox & the Knife – Line Cook

James Beard award winner Karen Akunowicz’s Nationally acclaimed restaurant Fox & the Knife  is searching for Line Cooks to join their team. Salary starts at $18 an hour plus kitchen appreciation fee, paid vacation time, health and dental insurance and wine education.

Chef Akunowicz’s vibrant first restaurant Fox & the Knife was named Best New Restaurant in America by Food + Wine Magazine, and was a James Beard Finalist for Best New restaurant in America.  Fox & the Knife offers traditional Italian food with a modern sensibility, focusing on their handmade pastas, bright antipasti and their Aperitivi and Amaro programs.

Ideal candidates approach their job with pride, cook from their hearts, and genuinely love to take care of their guests. Previous experience with Italian cuisine, appreciated but not necessary. Uncompromising work ethic and attention to detail and cleanliness required.

You will work directly with Chef Akunowicz and the Chef de Cuisine daily to create a warm and welcoming place to work and dine. Bar Volpe has a world class pasta program and a focus on culinary education and the food, wine and culture of Italy.
