Dryft – Sous Chef

Dryft, a high-end beachfront seafood and Italian restaurant in Revere, is looking for a motivated and creative sous chef to join our growing team! As a sous chef, you will be working alongside our executive chef to maintain Dryft’s already well-established brand while using your skills to help improve guest satisfaction as well as maximizing the financial performance of our kitchen.

Position Responsibilities
• Providing stable leadership for the line during peak volume times
• Assist with production, preparation, and presentation of all food
• Work with executive chef to achieve and maintain food and labor cost goals
• Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards
• Receive and organize deliveries while checking invoices for inaccuracies
• Help maintain kitchen inventory (food and supplies)
• Train all new staff on menu item preparation and techniques
• Working on line when necessary
• Assist in menu development with executive chef
• Assist with monthly inventory counts
• Help to keep all storage spaces clean and organized

Position Requirements
• 3-5 years experience in kitchen staff supervisory experience
• 5-8 years experience in technical food production
• Ability to stand and/or walk for 8 hours and be able to lift up to 30lbs
• Open availability (days, nights, weekends)
• Possess a passion for hospitality
• Strong communication skills (knowledge of English and Spanish is a plus)
