Drink, Barbara Lynch‘s award-winning bar located in Fort Point, is seeking a Barback to join the team. A bar entirely dedicated to the craft of the cocktail, Drink blends time-honored techniques and the classic cocktails of the Prohibition era with modern innovation and the very best artisanal ingredients. Drink also offers a thoughtful collection of white, red, and sparkling wines, and a selection of various styles of craft beer.
The Barback is responsible for preparing the “stocks,” “sauces,” and “mise” for Drink’s nightly cocktail party. During service, the Barback acts as a food runner and pinch hitter to the Apprentices and Bartenders by making sure ice, citrus, and liquor are in full supply. Ideal candidates will be cocktail enthusiasts with an appreciation for well-made drinks who are looking to learn more about the craft of bartending. Above all, applicants should be dedicated, passionate, and disciplined in their work as well as share the Barbara Lynch Collective commitment to hospitality and continued education. Naturally, evening and weekend availability is required.
