Dovetail – Chef de Cuisine

We are seeking an experienced chef to do the work and make the place great. The CDC will work directly with the Executive Chef (Owner, John Paine) to streamline systems for success while cooking your grandmother’s recipes.

Dovetail is an owner operated restaurant located in the heart of the Charlestown Navy Yard. We are a neighborhood spot with endless regulars, an ever changing menu, and a brand new restaurant build out. Charlestown is located slightly North of Downtown Boston, with easy access to public transportation from all neighborhoods and local suburbs.

We are a small restaurant group in a neighborhood of Boston that knows our staff and customers are our biggest assets. We are very hands on ownership marked by a small family atmosphere. Teamwork and a deep respect for ALL of our staff and customers are imperative to our success. We, the owners, work as hard as anyone.

We operate our full service restaurant for Lunch & Dinner daily, in addition to a small sandwich & provisions shop within our same location. We are looking to grow our team in all directions. We focus our service on efficiency, approachability, and quality – both front and back of the house.

All employees must be willing to take the trash out, mop the floor or clean the bathroom if you ever had to. Know what your job requirements are and be willing to do anything that needs to be done even if it’s “not your job.”
