Cunard Tavern – Sous Chef

Cunard Tavern is currently looking for a Sous Chef to join their team!

They are looking for an experienced Sous Chef to be the second in command in their kitchen, following their Executive Chef’s specifications and guidelines. The successful candidate will employ its culinary and managerial skills to play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing their customers’ satisfaction.

The Sous Chef is responsible for planning and directing food preparation in kitchens. This involves a large degree of supervising other kitchen staff, as well as keeping an eye out for problems that arise in the kitchen and seizing control of a situation at a moment’s notice

  • Experience in a full service restaurant with full liquor license preferred
  • Strong saute, grill, and knife skills
  • Weekend availability is a must

Cunard Tavern draws its inspiration from the rich nautical history of the nearby East Boston Shipyard and the countless people whose search of the American Dream began when they first landed there. Second only to Ellis Island, East Boston was the port of entry for many immigrants who came to its shores in search of opportunity. From shipbuilders to carpenters, from welders to longshoremen, they celebrate those who landed at Cunard Wharf and helped build this great neighborhood.
