CRU Nantucket – Chef

CRU’s iconic waterfront location in the heart of Nantucket harbor offers the ideal backdrop any time of day. This casually elegant venue offers an experience unlike any other to enjoy a glass of champagne, indulge in caviar and perfectly-shucked oysters or sip on a glass of rosé at sunset.

They are seeking applications for the Chef position who meet these qualifications:

  • Someone who will be the leader and mentor of the kitchen. This is a working position – you will be working side by side and developing + mentoring your sous chefs, line cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers.
  • Someone who sees their vision of a high volume, elevated waterfront oyster bar and seafood restaurant but wants to enhance it through re-invigorated menu items and specials.
  • At least 2 years of experience with leading shifts, expediting, scheduling, costing, inventory, ordering and invoices/data management.
  • An understanding of what actions to take when cost-of-goods and labor are too high.
  • An enthusiastic and detail-oriented culinary professional who is dedicated to providing a stellar guest experience.
  • A proactive problem-solver who celebrates the success of a high volume restaurant and wants to assist the staff to be the best they are capable of.
  • They would prefer someone fluent in the Spanish language but not a must.
