Club Car – Executive Chef

The iconic Club Car restaurant in Nantucket is seeking an Executive Chef for the upcoming 2020 season. They are looking for a hardworking, dedicated individual with strong teamwork and leadership skills. Applicants must have at least 3 years experience as a chef and managing a kitchen. Enjoying some good piano bar tunes is always a plus!

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Working days, nights and weekends
  • Performing daily food orders and weekly kitchen staff schedule
  • Willing to collaborate with partners on menu concepting and design
  • Managing staff of 10-15 people
  • Having a positive attitude
  • Monitor the quality of all food and beverages
  • Track, record, and maintain monthly inventory stock including foods, beverages, and kitchen supplies, including food cost reports, budget analysis, and projections.
  • Oversee repairs of kitchen appliances
  • Hire and train new kitchen staff
  • Maintain a clean kitchen and follow all state food safety and sanitation laws
  • Applicants must be able to work through mid December. Candidates must have the ability to control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing
    decisions, and inventory control. They offer:
