Classic and world renowned Boston cultural institution is now seeking an entry level Floor Manager for its beautiful and contemporary on-site restaurant. Cafe G provides food, beverage and service of the highest quality for the Gardner Museum and Boston’s most discerning clientele.
Competitive candidates possess a passion for hospitality, genuine enthusiasm for assisting and serving guests, professional appearance, impeccable reliability and strong work ethic. Knowledge of industry standards and trends, food and service culture, traditional and modern service styles is a plus.
Applicants must display outstanding communication and organizational skills, the ability to work precisely and pleasantly in a fast-paced environment and a willingness to participate in service with a hands-on approach. Minimum of 3 years of restaurant service experience preferred.
Responsibilities include assisting supervision of staff of over 25, proper service technique instruction and oversight and daily interaction with restaurant guests.
