Café du Pays is looking to take on a host for their lively neighborhood restaurant. Work with Head Chef Dan Amighi and be a part of Kendall Square’s favorite restaurant group! (Mamaleh’s Delicatessen, State Park, formerly Hungry Mother, and The Bar by the Elevator.) Evening Availability Required.
The ideal candidate is a friendly and motivated individual with a passion for hospitality, and a drive to learn and grow within a team environment. Responsibilities may include greeting guests, taking reservations and orders over the phone, and managing reservations on multiple POS systems. Organizational skills, ability to multi-task, and attention to detail are a must. Previous experience in a restaurant or customer service position is preferred.
This position is a great stepping stone for careers in many industries! Experience in a public facing role that is fast paced and requires great attention to detail is valuable on any resume.
Café du Pays (opened July 2017) is inspired by French Canadian culture and food. They are open 6 days a week (Tuesday-Sunday from 4pm until 12am). The menu, developed by Head Chef Dan Amighi, showcases the hearty cuisine, balanced with lighter New England seafood and produce. The bar features Quebec and New England breweries, French wines and spirits, and a list of cocktails with inspiration and ingredients from Canada down through Massachusetts.
They are a family run, independent, award winning restaurant group who are sustainably minded and have proudly operated restaurants in Cambridge since 2008. The ownership and management team work hard alongside their staff daily and have enacted a food revenue sharing program amongst their BOH team. Seeking like minded individuals!
