Boston College Club, Boston’s premier private C-level business and social club, is seeking an Executive Sous Chef. Boston College Club is a one of ClubCorp’s 28 City Clubs, and one of over 250 country, golf, city and stadium clubs nationwide, offering a vast career path.
With a Michelin-trained Chef on staff, they are seeking a culinary leader to help elevate their dining and culinary team to world-class level, serving their two Club dining rooms, 3500 sf private dining space and the Bank of America executive dining rooms.
Boston College Club is on the 36th Floor of 100 Federal Street, with panoramic views of Boston, and is open M-F, with occasional weekend private or Member events. Pre-covid sales were near $1mil ala carte, $2mil private events.
The Executive Sous Chef must be a creative enthusiastic leader who is passionate about world-class culinary experiences and eager to inspire and strengthen a talented team. Under the general guidance and supervision of the Executive Chef, the Executive Sous Chef will assist in the preparation and service of all sections in the Kitchen and coordinate operations with the Front of the House.
- 5 years’ experience or more in cooking and managing a culinary team in an upscale food and beverage operation with an emphasis on both technique-driven seasonal cuisine as well as upscale casual offerings.
- Private event execution experience, from small corporate meetings to weddings for 200
- Degree from recognized culinary institution preferred.
- Highly developed knowledge of various culinary styles to implement various member dining events.
- Mastery of all line level cooking stations.
- A professional and polished approach to leadership in a busy atmosphere.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- ServSafe Manager and MA Allergen and Choke certifications
- $85+ commensurate with experience
