Bodega Canal, a Mexican restaurant, bar, and nightlife venue located at 57 Canal St. near the TD Garden, is looking to hire an Executive Sous Chef. They offer casual Mexican cuisine based around tacos and shared plates.
Responsibilities will include expediting, working the line when needed, managing, training, and scheduling kitchen staff, collaborating with the culinary director on menu items, ordering food and maintaining quality and safety standards, and working with the culinary director and general manager on cost control. This is a 40-50 hour a week position where you will be in charge of a high volume kitchen on a nightly basis.
You will have every Sunday and Monday off and there is a hard close to the kitchen at 10pm. No late nights and guaranteed 2 days off in a row every week. Salary is $65,000 per year paid biweekly with 2 weeks paid vacation.
