The busser/runner position is the backbone of their service team. Ideal candidates are proactive individuals who love problem solving and are strong communicators. Bussers/Runners are expected to give service that is knowledgeable, approachable, efficient and energetic.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ongoing table and floor maintenance, including water service, clearing and cleaning tables, resetting tables, and restocking service tools.
- Running food from the kitchen to guests, describing dishes as needed, and responding appropriately to guest requests.
- Communicating respectfully with servers and managers, as well as chefs and kitchen team as needed
- Ability to receive instructions from multiple sources and prioritize tasks
Preferably 1+ years of experience in the hospitality industry, but for the right individual, no previous experience is needed. This is an ideal position for someone looking to understand what makes a restaurant tick from the ground up.
