Bistro du Midi is looking for a talented Pastry Assistant/Line Cook to join the team.
Learn and develop technique under award-winning Pastry Chef, Allen Morter. As a baking and pastry graduate of The Culinary Institute of America, Allen started his career at Bern’s Steakhouse in the Harry Waugh Dessert Room. Soon after he moved to Boston to work at L’espalier under Jiho Kim and then on to open Ava as Pastry Chef in Tampa FL. Allen has been able to cultivate his creativity and understanding of culinary techniques to develop a unique dessert style while continuing to explore new concepts and creations.
Bistro du Midi has received numerous awards for food and service since opening in 2009. With awards ranging from Boston Magazine’s Best of Awards for Service, Sommelier, Up and Coming Chef to Improper Awards like Best French and Best Sommelier. They received an “A” rating from Devra First of the Boston Globe and the New York Times raved “The Boston-New York inferiority complex is nothing new, especially when it comes to restaurants. But Boston has raised its culinary game recently with Bistro du Midi.”
