Bistro du Midi, an award-winning Provencal restaurant located across from Boston’s Public Gardens, is seeking a full-time bartender. They are looking for a candidate who genuinely enjoys working with other people, has an attention to detail as well as the ability to respond to instruction and training positively. They value professionalism, integrity and enthusiasm. The beverage program fuses both mixology and culinary arts techniques. Not only do they expect this candidate to have a vast understanding of their bar program, but also a sound memorization of their menus so that they can better pair food with both cocktails and wine. they often develop cocktail menu items as a collaboration between the beverage and kitchen teams, and they also want to hear your ideas on how to better develop their cocktail program!
You will have the opportunity to be part of a hard-working and tight-knit team, a wine list with over 500 references, and the chance to work and learn in a renowned restaurant headed by Chef Robert Sisca as well as a veteran management staff with over 40 years combined experience in Boston restaurants. All applicants should have at least 3 years experience in a fine-dining setting as well as full-time availability including weekends, nights, and holidays.
