BISq – Beverage Director/Floor Manager

BISq is lively wine bar and restaurant on the East Cambridge-end of Inman Square, created by the team behind Bergamot is looking to hire a Beverage Director/Floor Manager.
BISq was named “The 35 Best Bar in Boston” “Best Restaurant in Boston 2019” “Top 15 Boston’s Best Restaurant” by Boston Magazine in 2018, “America’s 100 Best Wine Restaurants in 2016”. Their culinary efforts, led by Chef Alex Saenz, are focused on small plates with the use of fresh and local ingredients as much as possible. They have assembled an extensive wine list paying tribute to the regions of northern France, Austria, and Germany, with many exciting options by the glass. They are aiming to provide a fun and lively setting to experience the joys of sharing great food and wine [or beer] with friends and family.
With this goal in mind, service is warm and casual with all of the trappings of fine dining and none of the fuss. The right candidate should have at least 1 to 2 years of management experience in fine dining service, with a solid foundation of wine knowledge. This person needs to be friendly, genuine, courteous, and honest. Candidates must have an innate sense of hospitality, strong work ethic, solid leadership skills, goal-oriented, highly organize and have a positive attitude. They are searching for someone who understands teamwork and has a strong sense of structure and discipline. Most importantly, you must have an unflinching dedication to hospitality and quality.

Experience, positive attitude, and enthusiasm are essential as well the desire to share knowledge with the rest of the team through an education program.
