Now hiring! BG Events and Catering in Brighton, MA is seeking motivated pastry chefs to apply for a prized position, or potentially positions, on their pastry team. Responsibilities include scaling and executing a variety of products, from scratch cookie doughs to wedding cakes and in-house miniature desserts, all in accordance with company standards. They are looking for candidates with a solid foundation in bakery and/or pastry. Culinary school or comparable work experience required. Must be able to stand for the duration of the shift, lift 50 lbs, and have knowledge of food safety. Servsafe certification and experience writing and costing menus are definite pluses.
Their ideal candidate must be an enthusiastic team player with an upbeat attitude and a sense of urgency. Some early mornings, evenings and weekends are required depending on the week’s work flow and hours may vary. This position will occasionally require working as part of their off-premise event staff.
