Berkshire East Mountain Resort is looking for an experienced leader to head up their food and beverage operations. In this role, you will direct and oversee all activities of food service to provide efficient, friendly and profitable operations.
Exceptional candidates for this position will be high energy, self motivated, highly organized, and very adept at working with the other teams at the resort like mountain operations, repairs and maintenance, marketing and finance.
Key areas of accountability include:
o Promote a positive interaction and experience with dining guests.
o Assign staff duties and responsibilities for kitchens, bar and restaurant.
o Oversee food preparation, portion sizes, and the overall presentation of food.
o Handle staffing responsibilities: hiring, training, scheduling, and terminating.
o Promote cooperative effort, teamwork and good morale among staff.
o Supervise staff in food production, customer service, and cleaning.
o Purchasing and Inventory.
o Manage quality throughout all areas of the operation
o Maintain sales and profit records, expenditures, maintain financial reports.
o Perform inspections to check proper operation and safety of equipment.
o Establish safe procedures and oversee kitchen safety techniques.
o Establish menus and pricing for restaurant, bar, cafeteria, or other events.
o Oversee process for proper food handling and food storage techniques.
