Baleia, The Coda Group’s (SRV, The Salty Pig, Gufo) newest concept is hiring for a bartender/server with Saturday through Monday availability! This role entails both serving and bartending shifts.
Baleia (Whale in Portuguese) features a Portuguese inspired menu from food, to cocktails, and an all Portuguese wine list. Baleia aims to highlight all that this region has to offer and pay homage to Portugal’s delicious food and beverage culture.
The ideal candidate is engaging, inherently passionate about creating memorable guest experiences, and takes pride in modeling high standards. They are also comfortable with making unfamiliar concepts and wines relatable to guests, and enjoy working collaboratively. We ask for a minimum of 1 year bartending experience in an upscale setting and familiarity with classic cocktails and wine.
Baleia is located on the ground floor of the Troy Building at the intersection of Southie and the South End. Baleia’s dining room is bustling but intimate with just under 90 seats in the dining room and featuring a 14 seat bar. The Coda Group has always focused on creating concepts that match and satiate the neighborhood in which they are a part of. Baleia strives to do the same, and brings a unique menu and space to a unique part of the city.
