The Alpine Restaurant Group, owners of Posto Restaurants, Rosebud American Kitchen, Painted Burro Restaurants, Burro Bar Restaurants, Elm Street Sweets and Posto Mobile, is currently seeking applicants for a full time Corporate Pastry Chef.
The Alpine Restaurant Group is accepting applicants who are self-motivated, positive, and creative professionals with good communication skills and strong multi-tasking abilities. Candidates must also have at least six years of experience in management as well as in the pastry department, and feel comfortable working with and leading a small dedicated team in a busy kitchen.
Responsibilities include—but are not limited to—managing daily a la carte production and plating design of desserts and banquet menu items, production of pies, pastries and special occasion cakes. Some managerial responsibilities also include, ordering and maintaining inventory, supervising and training other pastry staff members, and also collaborating directly with the Culinary Director to constantly come up with efficient ways to monitor food and labor costs.
This is a full time position with mostly morning shifts, but will require flexibility with the weekly schedule as we build our dedicated pastry team.
