All That Fish + Oyster – Sous Chef

Looking for a Sous Chef excited to get in on the ground floor of an exciting new concept!

All That Fish + Oyster, one of four exciting hospitality venues created and conceptualized by restaurateur Garrett Harker, has opened at the new Bower apartment residence in Boston. Best known for Eastern Standard, Island Creek Oyster Bar, Row 34 and The Hawthorne, Garrett will once again bring enlightened hospitality and high energy operations to the Fenway neighborhood. Garrett is joined by Beverage Director Jackson Cannon and Culinary Director Nemo Bolin in the construction and operation of these concepts.

Set in the shadow of Fenway Park, All That… Fish + Oyster will be the group’s newest seafood concept. It will focus on locally sourced protein and produce as seen through an equatorial lens with an emphasis on bright flavors, herbs, and spices.

About the Position:

All That is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to assist the Chef de Cuisine in leading the Back of House team through its opening and beyond. Applicants should have a genuine love of hospitality and food, a strong work ethic and an eagerness to grow professionally through collaboration with talented food and beverage colleagues.

Responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing prep and production
  • Expediting service and ensuring stations run smoothly
  • Troubleshooting
  • Ordering and inventory
  • BOH staff training and mentoring
  • Scheduling

In order to be successful in this role you must:

  • Have strong organizational skills
  • Be able to direct and inspire a dynamic BOH team
  • Be able to multitask, adapt as needed, and work well under pressure
  • Have advanced training in culinary operations and at least 2 years experience in BOH restaurant management
