Alcove – Sous Chef

Alcove, a bustling neighborhood restaurant that highlights coastal New England cuisine and an award-winning chef is looking for a Sous Chef to join their expanding team. Entering their third year as a destination in the West End, their large, four-season patio is about to get even busier as they start to trade in their heaters and fire pits for grills and umbrellas!

They are looking for a talented, career-minded individual who is passionate about continuing their culinary and managerial education in a high-energy, fast paced kitchen. The position of Sous Chef provides the opportunity to work side-by-side with 2020 Rising Star Chef, Brian Paszko, while helping to lead and inspire the entire kitchen team. Responsibilities include contributing to menu development, training and managing kitchen staff, overseeing and maintaining health and safety standards, assisting in the management of food and labor costs, ordering, tracking inventory and scheduling staff.

Compensation: Salary is commensurate with work experience. Benefits include health insurance and bonus structure after 90 days of employment.
