Alcove – Pastry Chef

Alcove, a bustling neighborhood restaurant that highlights coastal New England cuisine and an award-winning chef is looking for a Pastry Chef to join their expanding team. Nestled next to the Zakim Bridge and steps away from the TD Garden and North Station, they are entering their third year as a destination in the West End, with a large four-season waterfront patio, an award-winning beverage program, and Boston’s 2020 “Rising Star Chef,” Brian Paszko.

Ideal candidates have experience in high volume settings and prior experience in team building, budgeting, managing costs and labor, menu development, and working as part of a cohesive kitchen team. With a focus on seasonal ingredients, candidates must bring a creative and energetic approach to an ever evolving dessert menu. The Pastry Chef is also responsible for the overall training, development and management of all pastry staff, including interviewing potential hires and conducting periodic performance reviews. This position reports directly to the Chef de Cuisine.

Compensation: Salary is commensurate with work experience. Benefits include health insurance and bonus structure.
