Alcove, the first solo venture from Tom Schlesinger-Guidelli, is looking for Food Runners. Nestled beneath the Zakim Bridge on the recently revitalized Lovejoy Wharf, this much-anticipated, bustling New England farm coast restaurant has just opened its doors to the neighborhood for dinner service. With a focus on the best local food purveyors, its highly curated wine list and a dynamic cocktail program, Alcove will provide a unique experience for any guest, from hockey fans before a night at the Garden to the daily diner from the rejuvenated West End neighborhood
Candidates should be high energy, friendly, team players who are eager to learn in a fast paced environment. The food runner team must possess a strong knowledge of the menu and be able to articulate the details of dishes, in addition to assisting the server team in a variety of tasks. Education and development will be at the forefront of your experience at Alcove, this is a great stepping stone to other positions in their restaurant and this industry. Duties will include but are not limited to, running food, clearing and resetting tables, gaining an in depth knowledge of the menu, and keeping up with running side work throughout the shift.
This is a full time position, day/night/weekend availability and scheduling flexibility are a must. Prior experience is preferred but not required, as they are willing to train the right candidate. Benefits are available after 90 days.
