Alcove, a bustling neighborhood restaurant that highlights coastal New England cuisine and an award-winning beverage program, is looking for Food Runners to join their expanding team. Nestled next to the Zakim Bridge and steps away from the TD Garden and North Station, they are entering their third year as a destination in the West End, with a large four-season waterfront patio, an award-winning beverage program, and Boston’s 2020 “Rising Star Chef,” Brian Paszko.
Candidates should be high energy, flexible, committed team players who have a strong attention to detail and thrive in a fast paced environment. The food runner must possess a strong knowledge of the menu and be able to articulate the details of dishes tableside, while working closely with the kitchen expeditor to flawlessly execute dine-in service as well as to-go orders. Duties will include but are not limited to, running food, executing take out orders, maintaining in depth knowledge of the menu, attending daily pre-shift briefings, and keeping up with running side work throughout the shift.
This is a full or part time position, day/night/weekend availability and scheduling flexibility are a must. Prior experience is preferred but not required, as they are willing to train the right candidate. Benefits are available after 90 days to full time employees.
