Alcove, a bustling neighborhood restaurant that highlights coastal New England cuisine and an award-winning chef and beverage program, is looking for a Floor Manager to join their expanding team. Entering their third year as a destination in the West End, their large, four-season patio is about to get even busier as they start to trade in their heaters and fire pits for grills and umbrellas!
Qualified candidates should have a desire to captain a front-of-house team on a daily basis, and have a strong sense of hospitality and a willingness to lead by example. Candidates must be positive and energetic, and have the ability to both actively enhance the guest experience and recover from missteps. Strong communication skills are a must in their fast-paced, high volume environment.
The FOH Manager will have a heavy focus on service, with an eye toward the technical aspects while connecting with guests throughout the dining room. In addition they will participate in the hiring, training and scheduling of FOH staff.
A minimum of 2 years of restaurant management experience is required for this position
