Alcove – Events Manager

Alcove is looking for Events Manager to join its team.

As Tom Schlesinger-Guidelli’s first solo restaurant venture, Alcove will look to bring together his extensive knowledge of food, drink and hospitality collected from some of Boston’s most beloved establishments, including Island Creek Oyster Bar, Eastern Standard, Craigie on Main and the East Coast Grill. Nestled beneath the Zakim Bridge on the recently revitalized Lovejoy Wharf, this bustling New England Farm Coast restaurant has opened its doors to the neighborhood for lunch and dinner service. With a focus on the best local food purveyors, with a highly curated wine list and dynamic cocktail program, Alcove will provide a unique experience for any guest, from hockey fans before a night at the Garden to the daily diner from the rejuvenated West End community.

A qualified candidate will be a creative and energetic professional with superior communication skills, an eye for the details and excellent time management skills. The Events Manager will be responsible for cultivating new business while continually fostering existing guest relationships, as well as overseeing the execution of large party and buyout events.

This position requires constant communication and coordination with the Executive Chef and the General Manager, in both the preparation of event contracts and the staging of events. In addition to managing Alcove’s events, this position will assist the management staff on the floor of the restaurant several nights per week.

At least one year of prior event coordination experience is required.

Compensation: Salary is commensurate with work experience. Benefits include health insurance and event commission.
