Alcove, a bustling neighborhood restaurant that highlights coastal New England cuisine, is looking for a Bartender to join their expanding team.
Owner Tom Schlesinger-Guidelli recently welcomed the award-winning Chef Charles Draghi to the helm of the West End spot. Draghi, who closed his well-loved Bay Village endeavor, erbaluce, in 2018 after a decade-long run, came up in some of the city’s top kitchens including L’Espalier, Harvest, Tangiers, and Marcuccio’s. He brings his expertise and professionalism to the TD Garden-adjacent restaurant, known for its one-of-a-kind location overlooking the Charles River and the Zakim Bridge. They are entering their third year as a destination in the West End, with a large four-season waterfront patio, an award-winning beverage program, and a thoughtful and modern approach to hospitality.
Bartenders at Alcove are consummate hospitality professionals. With an intimate knowledge of wine, beer, cocktails, and spirits, they are deft at being able to pair a guest’s meal with an appropriate beverage. Whether behind the bar, in the dining room, or on the patio, a bartender at Alcove brings knowledge and grace to the stage that is the restaurant. Bartenders at Alcove are responsible for curating the guest experience at Alcove in conjunction with management to create unique experiences for guests.
We are currently hiring two Bartenders with bar experience, knowledge, and the ability to be creative as an important aspect of their contribution to the restaurant. Education is an important part of their bar program and Alcove as a whole! Senior bartenders regularly train the service staff on beverages, and bartenders are continually trained, by both the bar’s own training system and through daily in-depth staff briefings on all aspects of hospitality and product knowledge.
For bartenders, 2 years of bartending experience is required.
The position requires full-time availability. Benefits are available after 90 days. All employees are required to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19. Alcove is easily accessible on public transportation.
