ALBA Restaurant Group is seeking a general manager. They are looking for a dedicated individual with strong management and organization skills, experience in a high-volume setting, and a strong knowledge of food and wine. Candidates should have a positive attitude and an exceptional work ethic. Applicants should have a genuine love of hospitality and understand the importance of building relationships with both customers and staff members. The ability to work hard, multitask, and keep composure under pressure is required. Candidates should have a flexible schedule that allows them to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: managing staff members throughout their shifts and providing them with constructive feedback, investigating and resolving customers’ complaints about food quality and service, interviewing, training, scheduling and motivating staff, and organizing and planning nightly reservations. Someone who is well versed in all aspects of the restaurant business has experience as a server and or bartender. They want someone who has appreciation for great food, fine wine and refreshing cocktails and the ability to discuss and sell the same. Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years management experience. A degree in hospitality management is a plus but not necessary. Work closely with all personnel and conduct staff meetings. Manage the overall operations keeping in close communication with Owner.
