Grilling is no longer a just a summer sport; owner Nick Zappia and chef Jorge Lopes are firing up The Blue Room’s outdoor grill for Kendall Square’s first Winter BBQ. Join them on Tuesday, February 22nd for a four-course menu of BBQ favorites as paired with the lush organic wines of Sonoma Valley’s Coturri Winery. The menu for the evening features dry rub ribs and chicken legs with hushpuppies and slaw; beef brisket and barbecued duck with collard greens, bourbon sweet mashed potatoes, cheese grits, biscuits and honey butter; and apple pie á la mode. Richard Kazarian of Violette Wines and winemaker Tony Coturri will be on hand to answer any questions about the paired wines. The Winter BBQ, which gets going at 6:00pm costs $55 per person.
