Wine Tastings on a Whim

Lumiere in Newton wants to make your wine-tasting experience a lot less stuffy, and they’re doing it every Thursday night. Stop by any time between 7:00 and 8:00pm for their Wine Tastings on a Whim events, featuring a taste of four different wines each paired with a thoughtfully crafted bite from chef Jordan Bailey. Every week presents a new theme, and nowhere on earth is off-limits (except probably Antarctica).

Wine director Chris Graeff will be around to guide you through the tasting and answer questions, but there’s no obligation to chat if you’d rather just kick back with a few delicious sips or catch up with friends instead. The tastings are $25 per person and will be a weekly adventure into the world of wine. A recent event zoomed in on Germany and Austria, with delicious schnitzel and wines that are difficult to say but delicious to drink. Have a look at a sample menu below to get an idea of what’s in store. Call 617.244.9199 with any questions.
