For all of us who enjoy a great glass a wine, but are stymied by what to order or by which wines work with certain foods, Meritage’s Wine School starts its summer session. Held on the third Tuesday of each month, every educational session begins with a 30-minute reception at the Meritage bar with sommelier Jamie Moore. At 6:30 guests are seated in the dining room, for a five-course wine dinner specially created by Meritage chef Daniel Bruce. While students experience first hand how the wines enhance the flavor of food, Moore will explain the origin and craftsmanship of each wine. Participation is by reservation only. The cost is $85 per person, inclusive of all wines, not including tax and tip.
