Undoubtedly, oenophiles have long had Thursday, November 20th marked on their calendars. The third Thursday marks the release of the New Beaujolais and the beginning of the most frivolous and animated ritual in the wine world. At one minute past midnight, people in homes, cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars and bistros race to be the first to taste this year’s new wine of the harvest. Swing by Tosca in Hingham on Wednesday, November 19th from 10:00pm to 12:30am to get your first taste of the new Beaujolais. Chef Kevin Long welcomes guests for a late night celebration with hors d’oeuvres and wine. Admission is a mere $20 per person (though it’s complimentary for Tosca Wine Bin Members) and door prizes, including a weekend trip for two to Las Vegas, will be given out.
