In the spirit of Mother’s Day (but just a little after) Women Chefs and Restaurateurs welcomes author Ann Cooper to Union Bar & Grille on Tuesday, May 24th to celebrate the release of her new book, In Mother’s Kitchen. More than just a cookbook, In Mother’s Kitchen is a testament to the myriad of ways a mother can shape a child’s life through cooking. More than fifty celebrated women chefs and culinary professionals, including locals Jody Adams of Rialto, Longteine de Monteiro of the Elephant Walk and Carambola and Ana Sortun of Oleana, share their favorite recipes and the stories that make them so special. Cooper will be at Union from 12:00-2:00pm, discussing her book and its contributors, and answering questions over a three-course lunch. The afternoon costs $55 for WCR members and $65 for non-members. Pre-registration is encouraged, so call 877.927.7787 or go to the Women Chefs and Restaurateurs website.
