Virtual Yuletide Feast & Storytelling

Urban Hearth

On Monday, December 21st, gather ’round a virtual hearth (aka your screen of choice) for a magical night full of good cheer. The chef-owner Erin Miller and the whole Urban Hearth family are teaming up with award-winning master storyteller Alan White to bring you an evening of captivating tales from around the world celebrating the winter solstice — with the option to add on a delicious meal, of course.

The feast includes roasted chestnuts for snacking, spiced squash soup with ginger cream, traditional lamb and potato or kale and mushroom pasties and your very own bûche de noël (those lovely Yule log Christmas cakes, if you’re not fluent in French pastry terms). But what’s a Yuletide feast without the drinks? The eatery folks are providing spiked and non-alcoholic options of eggnog and Wassail, a hot mulled cider that was part of the Medieval English Christmastide  tradition (meant to ensure a good apple harvest the following year).

Read more about this family-friendly event and book your feast online here today. On the day itself, all you need to do is pick up your feast from the restaurant at 5:30pm before the storytelling begins at 6:00pm and head home to savor an evening of fellowship, wonder and cheer on the longest night of the year.
