The Ultimate Fried Chicken Monday Throwdown

Commonwealth

Chef Nicco Muratore of Commonwealth goes up against chefs Rob Wong of Hojoko and Derrick Teh of PAGU in a seriously delicious competition of fried chicken experts on Monday, November 6th. Tickets are $15 and get you a taste of all three chicken dishes, plus a voting ballot to show your support for your favorite chef. The throwdown begins at Commonwealth in Kendall Square at 6:30pm. Proceeds will benefit The Friends of The Peabody School, a Cambridge-based nonprofit that enables and encourages teachers to employ experiential learning. The crispy, crunchy, chicken-y festivities are in honor of Muratore’s promotion to Chef de Cuisine at Commonwealth, where he’s worked alongside chef-owner Steve (aka Nookie) Postal for the past four years. Previously, you may have seen him Fenway Park or Oleana. He brings a passion for experimentation (especially different preservation techniques) to his new role, so look for more charcuterie and pickled vegetables on future menus. Book a table — call 617.945.7030 — to see for yourself.
