Two Chances to Catch Seattle’s Renee Erickson

Row 34

Two coastal culinary traditions are coming together for two nights full of delicious new dishes as chef Jeremy Sewall hosts chef Renee Erickson, cookbook author and co-owner of multiple eateries in the Emerald City including The Walrus and the Carpenter, The Whale Wins and Barnacle.

Sewall, oyster guru, chef-owner of three locations of Row 34 and a cookbook author himself, will be welcoming his James Beard Award-winning, Seattle-based bestie to join him for two East Coast events, highlighting recipes from her newest cookbook, Getaway. Full of practical cooking advice for the at-home-chef, Getaway takes readers (and cookers) on a culinary journey through Erickon’s favorite locations around the world (Rome, Paris, Normandy, Baja, London and, of course, her hometown Seattle) by way of 120 tasty recipes and 60 sippable cocktails that’re perfect for relaxed gatherings at home or on your next Airbnb escape.

You can see for yourself at Row 34 Boston on Sunday, August 8th when the team will be featuring highlights from chef Erickon’s alongside the regular a la carte menu. There’ll be cookbooks for you to buy and have signed, too. Or, if you’re up for a little road trip (or if you’re already on the Cape – ’tis the season, after all) head to the historic Chatham Bars Inn on Tuesday, August 10th for a pop-up book signing (complete with drinks, hors d’oeuvres and oysters with the chefs) from 4:30-6:30pm.

Don’t miss your chance to rub elbows with these famed cookers and to get your hands on a signed copy of Getaway (available for purchase for $40). Reserve your seat at the Sunday Signing Supper at Row 34 online here or get your $50 ticket for the event at Chatham Bars Inn online here.
