Townsman How-Tos

Amp up your kitchen and cocktail skills with Townsman’s line-up of spring cooking classes. One Sunday a month, chef Matt Jennings and team will lead guests through a themed how-to (with bites and sips included, of course). Suds are the name of the game on February 19th with a craft beer tasting and pub fare tutorial. March 19th marks a vegetarian session, covering gnocchi, tagine, pickling, broth building and much more. In April, bar man John Silas will provide a lesson on seasonal cocktails, complete with syrups, bitters and punches (and snacks from the kitchen to balance out the tasting.) May sees the return of rose season with an at-home BBQ class to accompany the pink wines. All classes are $100 each and reservations can be made by calling the restaurant at 617.993.0750 or emailing
