In anticipation of chef/owner Laura Brennan‘s upcoming trip to Paris, Caffe Umbra will be welcoming guests to join them for The Paris Dinner on Tuesday March 30th. For $45 per person, guests need only travel as far as the South End to enjoy a little taste of Paris with a menu drawn from the menus at restaurants like Arpege, Chez Benoit, Jamin and Le Taillevent. In four courses inspired by Parisian menus, Brennan will try her hand at scrambled eggs in the shell with truffled cognac cream like those on the menu at Arpege; spring vegetable salad with walnut vinaigrette from Chez Benoit’s menu; fricassee of chicken with morels and wine from the jura from Jamin; and chocolate marquise with pistachio sauce straight off the menu at Taillevent.
