It’s true: absinthe made the art grow stronger. Join chef-owner Jim Solomon the folks at The Fireplace for a tasting of the boozy bohemian drink on Saturday, October 31st at 3:00pm. The event, which costs $25 per person, will feature a slide show chronicling absinthe’s effect on the artists of the Belle Epoque, excerpts of a 24-hour piano piece by absinthe-minded musician Eric Satie, and an art lecture about how the drink affected artists from Baudelaire to Oscar Wilde.
