Spoke Wine Bar is getting ready to pop some bubbles, and you can join them for the party on Wednesday, December 12th. The Davis Square wine den will have Terry Theise taking over between 6:00 and 9:00pm to show off his new book — What Makes A Wine Worth Drinking: In Praise of the Sublime. Tickets include a signed copy of the tome, pours by the glass and half glass and plenty of passed apps to go around, thanks to chef Eric Frier. You’ll also have the chance to try some sippers from Theise’s portfolio, specifically samples of grower Champagne (which refers to wine that’s produced by the winemakers who grow the grapes themselves on their own estate). Snag your spot here for $40 plus a processing fee.
