Tequila Night Out at Loco

Loco Taqueria & Oyster Bar

If you wish wine dinners could be a little more like tequila parties, Loco Taqueria & Oyster Bar is starting a monthly Tequila Dinner Series that’s right up your alley. Plan to be at the Baja-esque Southie spot on Wednesday, October 19th for a five-course menu from executive chef Michael Sanchez and chef de cuisine Juan Flores featuring a flight of spirits from Calle 23.

Dinner kicks off at 6:00pm in the 410 Lounge with fried oysters with green tomato picadillo and poblano pesto, followed by scallops in vieira sauce, braised pork with hominy, pan-seared chicken, and bunuelos for dessert. As you tackle your feast, you’ll also get to taste your way through Calle 23’s Blanco, Reposado, Anejo, Overproof Blanco “Criollo,” and Single Barrel Anejo. Take a peek at the full menu below before you go. DJ Kyle Cole will set the tone while John Mayer Spressert of Burke Distributing leads you through each sip and shares the lowdown on the boutique distillery headed by French biochemist Sophie Decobecq.

Tickets are $75 each (before processing fees), available via Eventbrite and likely to sell out fast. If you can’t make it this month keep your eye on Loco’s Insta for updates on the party/dinner series, and give them a call at 617.917.5626 with Qs.
