Great taste meets a great cause on Thursday, September 19th at this year’s Taste of the Food Bank. Some of the city’s best chefs, restaurateurs, bartenders, and foodies will be gathering at the Greater Boston Food Bank’s South Boston headquarters from 5:30-10:00pm for one of the biggest culinary events of the season, and it’s the perfect opportunity to support the organization that powers the bulk of the hunger relief system in eastern Massachusetts.

Culinary icons Jody Adams and Steve DiFillippo will be hosting the night and WCVB anchor Jessica Brown will emcee the evening, which includes an all-star reception of local tastemakers like Andy Husbands of The Smoke Shop, Joanne Chang of Flour and Myers + Chang, Jeremy Seawall of Row 34, Douglass Williams of MIDA, Karen Akunowicz of Fox & The Knife and Bar Volpe, and tons more (really, tons!). There’ll be live music, auctions, and photo booths going on throughout the night, plus plenty of sips from Tito’s Handmade Vodka, On the Rocks Premium Cocktails, and Joel Gott Wines.

Scoop up general admission tickets here for $350, which includes entry to the event and access to the Culinary Cocktail Reception; or bump up to a VIP ticket, which includes an expedited VIP check in, access to the reception and access to the VIP Lounge hosted by Jody Adams and Steve DiFillippo, featuring celebrity chef stations and a mixology station. Monies raised from the night will help power the GBFB’s efforts to get food to folks in need in our area — they distributed 104 million pounds of healthy food last year alone via food pantries, meal programs, and senior centers, which is the equivalent of over 87 million meals.
